Richard has many years of experience in Production Design and Art Direction on successful Feature films and TV series with impressively long running records. He has worked with some of the most respected names in the industry: Ron D. Moore, Marc Guggenheim, David Nutter, Jeffrey Reiner and Edward James Olmos, among others.

 

His production design methodology and expertise consistently delivers high quality studio sets, exterior built sets, location builds and redresses, while respecting time and budgetary guidelines for a variety of genres and time period productions.

 

Working closely with Directors, Producers and DP's, Richard's conceptual skills and attention to detail provides clear and accurate representations of his ideas. His vision strongly enhances the story telling, facilitates shooting logistics, and is achievable for the specific production needs.

 

With strong leadership and management, Richard efficiently communicates with his team members and other heads of department to synchronize and work on strategies, assuring all design elements within the sets (decorating, props, costumes, graphics, lighting and others) produce an effective and harmonious environment that accurately captures the essence of the story.

 

Richard has an extensive variety of large-scale iconic work in his portfolio. He has been a Comic-Con Production Design Panelist and was awarded a Gemini for Best Production Design in a Dramatic Series as well as a Peabody award for Battlestar Galactica,
